Priests House Barden Tower wedding photography at North Yorkshire venue, near Bolton Abbey in Skipton. Couture lace brides dress by Chanticleer brides. Groom wears tuxedo.

Kate and Jon got married during summer at the fabulous medieval venue, The Priest House at Barden Tower, in the Yorkshire Dales near Skipton.
This impressive historical site is nestled in the beautiful Bolton Abbey estate, which made the perfect location for Kate and Jon to be wed, as they have spent many a happy an hour walking the surrounding hills of this particular Yorkshire valley together. It was a relaxed wedding day, filled with romance and sunshine. I love shooting weddings at the Barden Tower Priest House with all its gorgeous backdrops!

Kate got ready at The Devonshire Fell in Burnsall with her mother, daughter and friend. The atmosphere was so calm, up until the point of getting into her dress at least. At which point the wedding nerves and emotions kicked in, Kate doing her best to hold back the tears and not ruin her makeup as her daughter helped her into her very beautiful lace couture Chanticleer Brides wedding dress. I think you would all agree that she looked stunning!

Jon had stayed the previous night on site with family members, at the Barden Tower bunkhouse, where he then prepared in the morning. He certainly fixed up sharp and was looking rather dapper in a tuxedo.

The wedding itself was held in the recently restored Priest House building at Barden Tower. There was a beautiful reading from one of the guests during the ceremony. The whole thing was so emotional, Jon now struggling to hold back the tears.

The drinks reception was held in the gardens by the orchard, in the glorious summer sunshine. Adding to the romantcic atmosphere of the day, the venue was decorated with lilies and roses, with lace and candles at the tables. Following the speeches a friend had arranged a surprise quiz in which they had to answer questions about each other by raising a shoe in the air. Then for the evening entertainment they had a swing style singer to get the party going.

Kate and Jon’s wedding had such a chilled vibe and was the most romantic and the happiest occasions. Here’s their gorgeous wedding!
